Commissioning of SIS&L’s Bolga Branch
Services Integrity Savings and Loans (SIS&L) has officially commissioned its 9th branch, located at the Abilba Barracks, home of the 11 Mechanized Battalion in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region. This new branch is set to serve the financial needs of military personnel, other security services, and the general public in the area.
The opening ceremony, held on Friday, 4 October 2024, saw the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, as the Guest of Honor. In his remarks, Brigadier General Tei praised SIS&L’s steady growth in a sector that has faced significant challenges in recent years. He emphasized that the expansion reflects the company’s resilience and commitment to providing essential financial services.
Brig. Gen. Tei commended SIS&L for its unwavering dedication since its founding in 2016, highlighting its transformation into a preferred financial institution for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the wider public. He urged military personnel, both active and retired, as well as the GAF as an institution, to support and take advantage of the financial services offered by SIS&L. He noted the strong relationship between the success of the company and the welfare of the Armed Forces.
Speaking at the event, Major Amarkai Amarteifio (Rtd), the immediate past Board Chairman of SIS&L, underscored the significance of the new Bolgatanga branch, describing it as part of the company’s long-term vision to deliver innovative banking solutions with a focus on excellent customer experience.
He further highlighted SIS&L’s consistent profitability since inception, attributing the company’s success to strong corporate governance, prudent risk management, and the unwavering support from military leadership, loyal customers, and dedicated staff.
Present at the event were Mrs. Lydia Daddy, CEO of SIS&L, Colonel Yaw Owusu, Commander of the Joint Task Force in Bawku, Colonel John Kwarteng, Command Logistics Officer for the Northern Command, Mr. Solomon Tettey Akpeng, Director of SIS&L, as well as Senior Staff from SIS&L’s Head Office. Representatives from other security services, financial institutions, officers, soldiers, and defense civilians of the 11 Mechanized Battalion were also present.
